Airflow Innovations: Exploring Nose Cones and Breathing Strips
Nose Cones
Nose breathing is vital for overall health. We should all be able to breathe through our nose except if we have a cold.
You may have been recommended to use nose cones to assist in your nasal breathing. We are meant to breathe through the nose even when sleeping, as mouth breathing is not conducive to good health in many ways. Nasal obstruction can occur deeper in the nose also, but if you have had done a Cottle’s manoeuvre that demonstrated that you can breathe more readily through your nose, by this simple test, nose cones will likely improve your nasal breathing. We may suggest you see an ENT Specialist and/or have a diagnostic sleep test for Obstructive Sleep Apnoea.
These nose cones are available for you to purchase online from the distributor, AER Healthcare in Sydney and the email for this company is: – info@aerhealthcare.com.au
Website: – www.aerhealthcare.com.au/aussieconsumerproducts
Nose cones help you to breathe at night through your nose after your face goes to sleep. You can even use them on your bike and in front of your computer. Easier breathing means less stress on the throat and nostrils. Includes a single nose cone case for easy storage. It is usually a more useful device than BreathRIGHT Nose strips or the generic Chemists Own brand of the same nose strips.
- Each cone should seat in your nose with the cross bridge touching the floor of your nose.
- They may be cut down for comfort with a pair of scissors to reduce the number of rings.
- They come either in packs of each of the three sizes, or a pack of all three sizes to verify which work best for you.
- Generally, a medium would suit a person of around 5 feet (1.55 m) in height and a large for 6 feet (1.8 m) height.
This is one of several products by this company which is also the same company to whom we regularly refer for diagnostic sleep testing in your home for sleep apnoea and snoring.
How do Breathe Right®Nasal Strips work?
The way nasal strips work is relatively simple. Within each Breathe Right® nasal strip are flexible, “spring-like” bands. On the underside is a special adhesive that, when placed properly on the nose, gently sticks to the area right above the flare of each nostril. As the bands attempt to straighten back to their original shape, they gently lift the sides of the nose and open the nasal passages, providing immediate relief. Which helps you breathe better – with no medicine and no waiting.
When placed correctly, Breathe Right® nasal strips provide:
• Relief from nasal congestion caused by colds or allergies
• Better breathing for people with a deviated septum*
• Reduced snoring caused by nighttime nasal congestion
Discover the right Breathe Right nasal strip for you. Breathe Right nasal strips come in the original tan, or the more discreet clear, suitable for sensitive skin.
*Breathe Right nasal strips should not be considered an alternative to definitive surgical correction.
